The currency war and its effect on the banking system will be determined after the meeting in Washington is concluded. With the Chinese president meeting with President Obama in the White House, the hot topic is trade and the dispute over currency manipulation.

When dealing with bank properties in particular, take note of the following as smart guides so that you may be able to purchase properties wisely.
The Real Deal With Bank Offerings
It is a common notion that bank properties are the safest to buy in the foreclosures market, owing to its ability to erase all liens and transfer clean, good property titles to the buyer. However, despite the screaming ads that boast of low prices and steep discounts, you should be aware that banks do not pass everything on a golden plate.
When pricing a property and before putting up in bank properties listings, the bank would usually price it almost near to what it is worth, unless it foresees that the property would hardly sell in the market. To attract buyers, banks would commonly employ marketing strategies that would entice the average buyer. This includes offering the property as a move-in-ready property or including some furniture with the sale or even waiving some of its closing costs.
Also, while banks generally aim for quick sales, this does not mean that they jump in on every offer that they receive for a property. In fact, many foreclosures stay on the market for several months before signs of its being sold even become apparent. The main reason is because it could take weeks or even months for a bank to respond to a buyers offer. And when it does, it almost always makes a counter-offer which could again prolong the negotiation.

Or will it allow you to ditch the car, save some money by taking the public transport since it is in the middle of the city? Will it allow you to expand your business/side business?
Another thing to consider is the time you need in maintaining your own home? Do you have time to mow the lawn, dig through the snow in your driveway, or do the repairs? These chores may eat up the time that is supposedly devoted to your business/side business and/or family.
Also worth considering is your ability to come up with the down payment for one of those bank foreclosure homes you have been wanting to buy. The era of “no-down payment, introductory low interest rates” is over. Banks have tightened their lending since the credit crisis, so they may require you to make a down payment of at least 20 percent. Without it, you would be paying for a higher interest rate, which would hurt your pocket in the long run.
These questions may help you see clearer if you are really ready to buy your own house – even one of those bank foreclosure homes that are sold below market value. But if your answer to the questions above is “yes”, then proceed in making your monthly budget and long-term financial plan to allow you to take on a new or additional debt for your planned purchase.

Here are some tips to starting an investment club.
1. Make sure all members understand the risks of investing. Many people who invest think they are going to be very successful, and are not prepared to lose all of their money. Unfortunately, there are no guarantees when it comes to the stock market. No one should invest money they are not willing to lose.
2. Find the right people who share the same investment objectives and goals. It is easier to get along with right minded people and learn from each other.
3. Make sure all club members agree to the partnership agreement and any other rules.
4. Join the National Association of Investors Corporation (NAIC) that provides support, information and tools on starting an investment club and investing, and publishes a monthly investor-learning magazine.
5. All members must agree to make a monthly contribution. The typical range of contribution is $20 to $100 a month. Members who contribute more than the required contribution are allowed greater share of profits.
